Bahri HOFUF Departs Baltimore November 23, 2018
This 220m × 32.3m (721.8x106ft) beauty of a ship is owned by Saudi Arabian company Bahri. Bahri HOFUF is a Ro-Ro/Cargo ship. In the front of the ship she has a pair of cranes with some containers visible. She also has a stern ramp. It was an impressive sight watching this ship head out of Maryland. As you watch the video below you’ll see her being assisted by a tug while passing the Maersk Gairloch. Then the pilot disembarking onto a pilot boat will be seen. As she passes some wooden cylindrical containers are seen just ahead of the superstructure. I’d love to know what their purpose is as I also saw similar ones on the Bahri YANBU when she came to town about a month later. In the last scenes you’ll see that the Ciner bulk freighter Kenan is leading the way for her. For best results watch in FULL SCREEN. You may need to watch for 20+ seconds before full resolution kicks in.
A video of all the ships I saw this day can be seen here.
