Brunswick Veterans Day Parade, November 10, 2019
Brunswick, Maryland is a small town of about 6,000 located near Frederick, Maryland along the Potomac River and is the namesake of the MARC commuter rail line between Washington, D.C. and Martinsburg, West Virginia.
This little town in a great spot to watch trains. Although the MARC train doesn’t run on weekends, Amtrak’s Capitol Limited runs through town twice a day, the morning Eastbound from Chicago and the afternoon Westbound from Washington, D.C. CSX freight trains pass through here as well. As they don’t have a set predictable schedule, bring a chair and expect to wait.
As the parade more or less speaks for itself in photos I invite you to click here for my flickr photo album of the photos I took this day which includes some of the train watching before the parade started.
I came out to photograph the parade since my friend, Barry Donadio, who owns Public Security participated in the parade.
Afterwards my friend Aaron, who runs the blog Pizza Bastard, and I went to King’s Pizza. It was my second time here and the staff are always friendly. We got a large pizza, half cheese and half meat lovers, for around $20. I really love this pizza and if you’re in town give them a try.
