Cape Manila Departs Baltimore September 24, 2019
This 212x32m (696x105ft) container ship was built in 2011 by Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard in Guangzhou, China. She is owned by Cape Manila Navigation Company in care of Columbia Shipmanagement according to scheepvaartwest. She can carry up to 2,758 TEUs and has 508 reefer plugs.
According to Insurance Marine News she suffered a leak in her main engine cooling pipe March 1, 2018 about 10 nautical miles from the Isles of Scilly, UK. She was able to continue her journey.
In my video of her departure below she can be seen following the tugboat Bridget McAllister who helped her off the dock and is moving to help the arriving container ship Cape Akritas. The little red tugboat Chelsea Lynn is seen passing under the Key Bridge. She can be seen towards the end of the video passing the much larger arriving Cape Akritas.
