Chem Amsterdam Comes to Baltimore December 3, 2018
This Ace Quantum Chemical Tankers owned ship is 141x24m (462.6×78.7ft) and was built in 2013 by Kitanihon Shipbuilding in Hachinohe, Japan. Brightly painted on the outside she’s a stainless steel tanker. Tugs Theresa Krause and Adam Krause helped the Chem Amsterdam visit Yara North America on the Patapsco River in Baltimore, Maryland and get a lot of screen time in this video. Some scenes were sped up to 400% to keep things moving. The last scene of this video has the best lighting on the tugs and the ship and also watch for the police boat at the very end. For best results watch in FULL SCREEN. You may need to watch for 20+ seconds before full resolution kicks in.
I haven’t yet put together the bigger “Shipspotting” video yet but the other ships that arrived this day were the bulker Michalis and the large container ship Gunhilde Maersk. If tugboats are your thing you can watch a longer video which includes the above tugs and others here.
