Felicity Ace Comes to Baltimore October 17, 2020
This 199x32m (653x105ft) Panama flagged roro vehicles carrier was built in 2005 by Shin Kurishima Dockyard and owned by Snowscape Car Carriers S.A. and managed by MOL Ship Management according to ClassNK.
She can carry up to 5,232 cars.
According to this 2011 TradeWinds article the ship’s master evaded a pirate attack near Tanzania by turning the ship into the swell.
This video from 2014 shows the ship being loaded at an unnamed location. Check out this 2015 video by friend of Baltimore Shipspotting binmei.jp. This 2017 video shows her in the Port of Rotterdam.
In my 8 minute video below she can be seen turning from the Chesapeake Bay onto the Patapsco River as she makes her way to Baltimore, Maryland. After she turns a pilot can be seen climbing the ladder from pilot boat Baltimore. After she passes under the Key Bridge the tug Gramma Lee T Moran can be seen alongside. Tug Lynne Moran follows.
