Flag Thenia Comes to Baltimore September 11, 2020
This 292x45m (958×148ft) Malta flagged bulker was built in 2013 by Jiangnan Changxing Shipbuilding (now Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding) in Shanghai, China according to scheepvaartwest. She is owned by Starry Shipping S.A. and according to scheepvaartwest managed by Greece based World Management.
Closest company I could find to that name in Greece is Sea World Management which does not have this ship in their fleet list. Either they haven’t updated the list in a while or their ships are a bit on the older side.
YouTuber Oleg Okulskiy also seems to have spent some time as a crew member aboard this ship and has produced a number of videos including this one from 2016 which shows views from the bridge of the ship arriving and departing from an unnamed location. This video from 2018 taken from a location in Chile while the ship is being loaded shows drone footage from the vicinity of the ship.
This video from the same year while the ship is at anchor off of Ecuador shows some done footage of the ship but is mostly dolphins. Also from 2018 is this video which shows the crew enjoying a BBQ on deck and also a small pool on board. Later docking, unloading, and departure from an unnamed location is shown. Another drone video from 2018 is off Korea.
In my 11 minute video below she can be seen turning off of the Chesapeake Bay and onto the Patapsco River as she heads for Baltimore, Maryland. Pilot boat Baltimore heads out to meet her. After she passes under the Key Bridge a pilot can be seen walking down the ladder towards the Baltimore. Tugboat Timothy McAllister can be seen awaiting this ship’s arrival, tug Bridget McAllister already alongside.
