Havre de Grace Maritime Museum October 9, 2020
Located at 100 Lafayette St in Havre de Grace, Maryland is the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum that’s mission is “to collect, document, preserve, and interpret the maritime skills and cultural heritage of the Lower Susquehanna River and Upper Chesapeake Bay region.”
The museum isn’t as expansive as the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum at St. Michaels, Maryland but nevertheless does a great job of conveying history and displaying numerous artifacts from various topics.
Displays a can be found on The John Smith Trail and the Susquehannocks
Racing on the Chesapeake
Waterfowling
Recreation
And, of course, working on the waters
Many more topics are covered at this museum. At $4 per individual or $9 for a family a visit to this museum is a great deal and I definitely recommend a visit here.
Outside is a trail system adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay that afford beautiful views.
The Concord Point Lighthouse is also right next door.
