Maersk Gateshead Comes to Baltimore March 7, 2021
This 292x32m (958x105ft) Singapore flagged container ship was built in 2002 by Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan, South Korea and is owned by Maersk according to BalticShipping.com.
On January 6, 2019 she suffered a mishap when bunker fuel spilled during bukering operations at the Port of Hong Kong according to this gCaptain article which also indicates she has a capacity of 4340 TEU.
Check out this drone video from 2017 of this ship entering the Cape Fear River.
In my 12 minute 4K video below she can be seen arriving on the Patapsco River as the Coast Guard buoy tender William Tate departs. As she nears it is clear life at sea has done a number on her paint job. After passing under the Key Bridge tug Lynne Moran is seen alongside. In the next seen tug Gramma Lee T Moran can be seen peaking out from the other side of the ship.
