MSC Immacolata Comes to Baltimore August 6, 2020

This 199x32m (653x105ft) Panama flagged roro vehicles carrier was built in 2012 by STX Dalian Shipbuilding in Dalian, China according to BalticShipping.com. STX went bankrupt in 2015. They may have been taken over by DSIC according to this 2016 Splash247.com article.

MSC currently manages this ship and sister ship MSC Cristiana which has also been seen here in Baltimore. They went into service in 2018 with a starting rotation of Le Havre, Antwerp, Dakar, Conakry, Abidjan, then back to Le Havre according to this press release.

BalticShipping.com lists Bugle Shipping as the owner but they do not have a web presence that I could see. Offshore Leaks Database has a little bit of information about them, however.

This 2016 video by binmei.jp shows the ship with her current name but a different paint scheme as she crosses the Kanmon Strait.

In my 9 minute video below she can be seen turning from the Chesapeake Bay onto the Patapsco River as she approaches Baltimore, Maryland. The pilot boat Maryland heads out to meet her. A crew person and the pilots can be seen approaching the bridge from near the air vent boxes as the ship nears. Two crew can also be seen in the pilot entryway near the pilot boat. As she passes under the Key bridge tugboat Timothy McAllister is seen passed by the ship where she then turns to follow. In the next scene she is seen approaching the bow as the pilot boat Maryland turns away. Tugboat Patrick McAllister assisted the ship as well but did not make an appearance in this video.
