Navios Galileo Departs Baltimore October 3, 2020
This 224x32m (735x105ft) Malta flagged bulker was built in 2006 by Marugame Yard in Marugame, Japan and was originally named Double Joy according to BalticShipping.com.
BalticShipping indicates an Antwerp, Belgium company named Kleimar owns this ship and this page on Navios‘ website announces the acquisition of this company. Curiously it is undated so it is unknown when they actually did this.
This 2013 Offshore Energy article indicates this ship was one of two ships delivered to Navios Holdings but doesn’t say from who nor where.
I found no news or other video of this ship other than this very blurry video from 2014 under either of her names. Very unusual for a 24 year old ship.
In my 3 minute video below she can be seen passing under the Key Bridge on the Patapsco River as she heads out from Baltimore, Maryland. She makes an uneventful passing on her way to the Chesapeake bay.
You can view my photography (more than just ships!) here and more videos here.
