Prestige Ace Comes to Baltimore December 17, 2020
This 199x32m (653x105ft) Panama flagged RoRo ship was built in 2000 by Imabari Shipbuilding in Marugame, Japan. It is unclear who owns this ship but BalticShipping.com indicates Shoei Kisen and ClassNK says La Darian Navegacion, both apparently based in Marugame, Japan.
According to ClassNK this ship can carry up to 5,059 cars. More recently built RoRo ships of the same size carry about 6,400 cars.
Looking at page 5 of this Minutes of the Virginia Board For Branch Pilots Meeting is an interesting story from March 19, 2003 of how miscommunication due to language differences can lead to unfortunate incidents. Although damage to the ship occurred, it seems to have been minor.
This ImportInfo.com page shows manifests of this ship. It appears that she brought 1,629 Honda Fits from Veracruz, Mexico on this particular trip.
This video from 2017 shows her arriving in the Port of Emden, Germany. This video from 2019 is a slideshow that shows photos of this ship inside and out including her crew.
In my 6 minute video below she can be seen arriving on the Patapsco River to Baltimore, Maryland. Behind her is the container ship Ever Fortune. She makes an uneventful passage before the camera.
