Rt. Hon. Paul E. Martin Comes to Baltimore September 9, 2020
This 229x32m (751x105ft) Bahamas flagged self discharging bulker was built in 2012 by Chengxi Shipyard in Jiangyn, China according to BalticShipping.com and is owned by CSL Group. Check out this very interesting PDF with details about this ship.
This Port of San Francisco news item talks about this ship making her maiden call there in 2012. This CSL World has on page 4 a story about this ship being blessed by Canada’s First Nations people.
tugster: a waterblog made a blog posting in 2018 about her arriving in New York City. This ship had a bad day in 2019 according to this article talking about her running aground in the St. Lawrence River.
Check out this great 23 minute video of this ship transiting the Panama Canal!
In my 7 minute video below she can be seen arriving on the Patapsco River to Baltimore, Maryland. Her unusual self discharging equipment can be seen. Long years hard at work have done a number on her paint job. Tug Bridget McAllister comes alongside to lend a hand in docking. Tug Timothy McAllister is later seen approaching from astern.
After the bulker passes from the scene ConRo Grande Togo is seen making a move from one part of the Port of Baltimore to another assisted by tug Patrick McAllister as night falls.
