Shipspotting Baltimore November 25, 2018
I do two main types of ship videos. The single ship videos are the most numerous on my YouTube channel followed by the Shipspotting videos like the one below. After I do a day’s shooting of photos and videos I normally do the one ship videos and then later do the “big” video which includes all the ships I saw plus B roll. This video was shot at two different times of the day. For best results watch in full screen!
The first three scenes are B roll of the container ship Maersk Shenzhen under the cranes, Wallenius Wilhelmsen ro-ro vehicles carrier Titania at dock and some Buffleheads getting themselves ready for the day. Arriving first is the general cargo ship HC Bea Luna, one of the smallest ships I have seen come to town. Immediately after is the cruise ship Carnival Pride. During the intermission a coal barge can be seen being brought into Baltimore with tugs MS Debbie visible and MS Janet barely visible on the opposite side.
Later in the day I returned and the bulk freighter Ocean Aphrodite was observed coming in. Just after passing under the Key bridge the outbound bulk freighter Giant Slotta passes the inbound ship.
The individual ship videos can be seen here: HC Bea Luna, Carnival Pride, Ocean Aphrodite, Giant Slotta.
