Spuigracht Comes to Baltimore August 9, 2020
This 172x25m (564.3×82.02ft) Netherlands flagged general cargo ship was built in 2001 by Stocznia Szczecinska Nowa in Szczecin, Poland for spliethoff according to scheepvaartwest. She is one of their S-Type ships and they have a brief data sheet on her.
I last saw this ship on November 12, 2018 when she was leaving town with a load of rubber tire gantry cranes. Click here to read about that.
This video taken in 2013 shows her in Germany. This 2018 video shows her being loaded with cranes in Poland. This video posted in July of this year shows her with a load of yachts.
In my 6 minute video below she can be seen approaching on the Patapsco River after having arrived from the Chesapeake Bay. Other than some blue splithoff containers nothing is seen on her deck but she is clearly loaded according to her position in the water so her cargo is below. She makes her way towards the city as the sun begins to go down.
