Sunrise Ray Departs Baltimore October 18, 2020

This 146x24m (479x79ft) Liberian flagged tanker was built in 2018 by Fukuoka Shipbuilding and owned by Fair Wind Marshall S.A. and managed by Eastern Pacific Shipping PTE. LTD according to ClassNK.

While she shows up in Eastern Pacific Shipping’s Fleet List as a chemical carrier she also shows up in the Fleet List of Ace Tankers.

Looking deeper I found this Offshore Energy article indicating a company called BW Chemicals to Ace Tankers which indicated that the tankers were to join the Ace-Quantum Chemical Tankers (AQCT) Pool which is a joint venture between Ace Tankers and Eastern Pacific Shipping.

Given that ClassNK indicates this ship’s first name was BW Radon the chain of ownership now seems to be understood.

In my 4 minute video below she can be seen passing under the Key Bridge as she accelerates away from Baltimore, Maryland. Her paint job shows some wear from life at sea and she sits low in the water, loaded with something. She makes an uneventful passage on the Patapsco River.
