USCG Cutter Richard Snyder Arrives in Baltimore September 5, 2019
This 46.8×8.11m (154×26.6ft) US Coast Guard cutter was built in 2018 by Bollinger Shipyards in Lockport, Louisiana. She is a Sentinel class cutter designed to perform search and rescue missions, port security, and the interception of smugglers (Wikipedia).
She is named for Coast Guardsman Richard Snyder who earned a silver star for his action in the Pacific theater in World War II. A news report about this ship’s commissioning can be viewed here and a tour of the ship can be viewed by clicking here.
