Algoma Verity Comes to Baltimore December 21, 2019

This 189x32m (620x105ft) self discharging bulk freighter was built in 2000 by Shanghai Shipyard and was previously owned by Oldendorff Carriers. She had the name Alice Oldendorff and was operating in the CSL Pool.

She was sold in January 2019 along with two other ships to Algoma Central Transportation and was given her current name. CSL has this interesting PDF which has a lot of interesting info on this ship. Some info provided by BalticShipping.com.

Check out this 2013 video of her in Portsmouth. I also found this 2017 video of the crew of the ship having karaoke night.

In my video below she can be see coming from the Chesapeake Bay onto the Patapsco River as she approaches Baltimore, Maryland. As she nears her unusual equipment becomes visible. She is riding high out of the water with her bulbous bow clearly visible indicating she is coming to town to pick up some cargo.
