American Star Comes to Baltimore June 4, 2019
This 60x14m (197x46ft) cruise ship was built right here in Maryland by Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury in 2007 according to Smithsonian Journeys. Owned by American Cruise Lines she can carry up to 100 passengers on a variety of seasonal cruises in various parts of the US East coast.
In the video below you can see she is quite a small ship! It is hard to imagine 100 passengers plus however many crew there are on board for a week long cruise! Compare her to the 175 passenger American Constitution that I saw comes to Baltimore back in December 2018!
I also saw two bulk freighters arrive, the Panafrican and the Mykonos Bay and the roro ship MSC Cristiana depart this day.
You can view my photography (more than just ships!) here and more videos here.
