Atlantic Star Comes to Baltimore February 14, 2021

This 296×37.6m (971.13×123.36ft) Malta flagged Container/Ro-Ro (or ConRo) ship was built in 2015 by Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group in China for Atlantic Container Line (ACL). She was christened right here in Baltimore on September 21, 2018. She was the first of the G4 ships to be built.

6146-1 ConRo Atlantic Star and pilot boat Baltimore

A 2015 article by Motorship has a lot of detailed information on this ship. Passenger service is available aboard this ship between the USA and Europe. Information on this can be viewed here. This gCaptain article has extensive information and photos on this ship.

6224-1 ConRo Atlantic Star

This 2016 video published by the ship’s owner shows her construction as well as her maiden voyage. Another video also from 2016 shows her maiden arrival to Halifax, Canada. Another video by the same person just a couple weeks back this time from a drone can be seen by clicking here.

6245-1 ConRo Atlantic Star and tug Bridget McAllister

In my 9 minute 4K video below she can be seen arriving on the Patapsco River passing the outbound tanker Ebony Ray. Pilot boat Baltimore comes alongside. After passing under the key bridge tug Bridget McAllister can be seen following.

You can view my photography (more than just ships!) here and more videos here.
