Bahri Hofuf Departs Baltimore December 30, 2019
This 220x32m (722x105ft) conro ship was built in 2013 by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in Ulsan, South Korea according to BalticShipping.com. She is owned by Saudi Arabia based Bahri.
This ship made the news twice in 2018, first in February in Houston Texas when she delivered a 296 ton pressure vessel after a 8,155 mile journey though the Houston Chronicle article doesn’t say from where nor who built the large tank. Check out this video of the unloading of this tank as well as several smaller ones. Additionally check out this video of her arriving in Houston. Two months later Spanish activists tried to kick this ship out of Spain for loading weapons heading for Yemen according to this Informed Comment article.
I last saw this ship November 23, 2018 and you can watch the video from this link. Check out this drone video of her heading out to sea.
In my video of her departing Baltimore below she can be seen making her turn on the Patapsco River to line up for heading out to the Chesapeake Bay. As night falls and she travels away from the city lights she becomes more difficult to see but some lights are seen.
You can view my photography (more than just ships!) here and more videos here.
