In between the locations of the railcars was the bulk freighter Interlink Dignity at Rukert Terminals. No activity was taking place at this time so we’re unsure of whether loading or unloading was taking place.

The third and final Dann Marine Towing tug of the day was spotted next, the Sun Coast, along with the tug Lynne Moran behind apparently feeling shy today. I had a bit of an adventure not too long ago on the Lynne Moran as she helped bring in the largest container ship so far to come to Baltimore, the Evergreen Triton. Click here to read!

On the other side of the pier was found two more of Moran Towing‘s tugs, the April Moran and the Harriet Moran as well as the Liberty Ship John W. Brown. Be sure to check out their steam school and living history cruises!

Moving further into Baltimore we arrived at Domino Sugar where the bulk freighter Century Emerald was docked. No activity was taking place here while we were there but judging by the ship’s position in the water she was full of sugar waiting to be unloaded. The water was mostly calm here.

From our vantage point next to the Century Emerald we spotted a Wilmington Tug at General Ship Repair Corporation, the Madeline in drydock and moved in for a closer look. We turned around and headed back out at this point as there were no other ships aside from the museum ships which were not on our list for the day.

On the way back out of Baltimore we spotted a sailboat owned by Downtown Sailing Center, a Baltimore Water Taxi, the Nimble, an Osprey parent and young on a nest, and sister ships Antares and Denebola. I’d seen the Antares come to town by chance a few months ago, read about her here!
