Cape Pride Comes to Baltimore October 28, 2018

This bulk freighter is a big ship at 291x45m (954.7×147.6ft) according to BalticShipping. Built in 2012 by Koyo Dockyard and also owned by them. The dockyard was shortly thereafter taken over by Imabari Shipbuilding Company. The white K painted on a red band on the funnel of the ship seems to suggest she is instead owned by “K” Line. In the video below watch for the pilots boarding this ship. They have a long way to go to get on deck! Also watch for people in orange jumpsuits on deck after the pilot boat moves away to get a sense of how huge this ship is. Tugboat April Moran and Lynne Moran help this ship into town. For best results watch in FULL SCREEN. You may need to watch for 20+ seconds before full resolution kicks in.

This ship is also part of a popular 34 minute video taken over two days which can be seen here which includes 5 ships.
