Goliath Leader Comes to Baltimore February 21, 2021
This 199x32m (653x105ft) Bahamas flagged RoRo was built in 2008 by Poland based Stocznia Gdynia and owned by Ray Car Carriers, managed by Stamco Ship Management according to BalticShipping.com and operated by NYK Line.
According to this schippertje page she can carry up to 4,950 cars.
This ship saved the day for 18 sailors in a lifeboat in 2010 according to this NYK press release. They had to evacuate their vessel in the South China Sea.
This ship was used as a case study by a company called Green ICPS which delivers solutions that deal with corrosion. The company used a system of paints which include the Corrizon Base as a shop primer. It appears they are seeing good results from their service.
This 2014 video shows her departing Southampton, UK. From 2019 is this video showing her discharging vehicles in Port Hueneme, California. This video from 2020 shows her departing Fremantle Port in Western Australia.
In my 5 minute 4K video below she can be seen arriving on the Patapsco River as she makes her way to Baltimore, Maryland. A pilot can be seen boarding from pilot boat Maryland. Tug Alex McAllister can be seen in the last scene.
