Mason Dixon Antique Truck Show October 13, 2019

The Mason Dixon Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society hosted an antique truck show on land near the Gladhill Tractor Mart and Tractor Supply Company just outside of Frederick, Maryland.

It seems like most people like cars with the number of car shows that are put on. I prefer the vehicles of industry and commerce: ships, trains, trucks, aircraft, etc.

This show had trucks the breadth and width of the vehicle type from pickup and vans to the big trucks that pull the trailers full of everything we buy in a store.

There was even a truck with a “double” – a pair of trailers strung together behind a truck.

This big antique tow truck was also on display.

A pair of firetrucks came to the show.

These interesting and varying ways of solving the problem of moving things from one place to another are the things that are beautiful to my eye.
