Northern Practise Comes to Baltimore September 26, 2020
This 264x32m (866x105ft) Liberian flagged container ship was built in 2009 by Daewood Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in Geoje, South Korea and owned by Norddeutsche Reederei according to BalticShipping.com.
According to this 2018 Offshore Energy article Norddeutsche Reederei was acquired by V.Group.
According to Marine Traffic this ship can carry up to 4600 TEU.
Unusual for a ship of this age I did not find any news items nor other video of this ship either under her current name nor her first name, Ankara Bridge.
In the first scene of my 10 minute video the pilot boat Baltimore can be seen heading out to meet this ship seen appearing out of the fog. Tug Camie is briefly seen. In her turn scene a pilot can be seen disembarking onto the pilot boat. As she nears she is riding high enough out of the water that her bulbous bow is seen.
A variety of container companies are represented on deck. After she passes under the Key Bridge tug Patrick McAllister moves alongside to assist with docking. Tug Bridget McAllister follows. As the ship passes from view in the final scene a dredging operation can be seen.
