Hoegh Manila Comes to Baltimore September 15, 2018

At 179x32m (587.27×104.99ft) she may be the smallest vehicles carrier I have observed to come to Baltimore. She was built in 2007 by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding in Tokyo, Japan according to BalticShipping.com. Owned by Hoegh Autoliners she can carry up to 5,400 cars. She made the news in 2012 when she made Malta Freeport‘s biggest car transhipment at the time when she discharged over 2,400 cars.
In the video below watch for the bird diving into the water to the right of the ship just after the two boats exit to the left. A pilot can also be seen boarding the ship and later a pilot can be seen leaving the ship onto the pilot boat. Watch FULL SCREEN for best results! May need to watch for 20+ seconds before the high res kicks in.

Five ships were seen this day and a longer video of all of them can be seen here.
